1. Nature of the App & Medical Disclaimer (IMPORTANT)
- Educational Tool Only: NurseKit is strictly an educational and training platform. It is NOT a medical device, a diagnostic tool, nor does it provide professional medical or treatment advice.
- No Clinical Reliance: The information, tips, and answers provided by the app (including AI-generated responses) are solely for study, practice, and training purposes. They must never be relied upon to make actual medical decisions, formulate diagnoses, or provide real patient care.
2. Information We Collect
- Account Information: Such as your name and email address when you register.
- Usage & Training Data: Information about how you interact with the educational features within the app.
- AI Queries: The text and study questions you input into the app to receive explanations.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To provide accurate nursing explanations and training exercises.
- To analyze student engagement and improve the user interface.
- To ensure the app’s stability, monitor performance, and fix software bugs.
- No Sale of Personal Data: We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information, including your study queries or account details, to third parties for commercial or advertising purposes.
4. Protection of Real Patient Data (Strict Prohibition)
Because NurseKit is a training application, it is strictly prohibited to enter any Protected Health Information (PHI) or real patient data (e.g., actual patient names, dates of birth, real hospital records, or actual diagnoses) into the app. Please use only hypothetical, fictional case studies for your training.
5. Third-Party Services
- Google Firebase: We use Firebase for secure student authentication, database management, and app performance monitoring.
- Gemini API: We use Google's Gemini API to power the smart educational assistant that answers your study questions.
6. Data Security
We implement standard technical and organizational security measures to protect your account information and study queries from unauthorized access. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
7. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to provide you with the NurseKit services. You have the right to request the deletion of your account and all associated personal data at any time.
To request account and data deletion, you can either:
- Use the "Delete Account" option within the app's settings menu.
- Visit our dedicated Account Deletion Page.
- Contact us directly at support@nursekit.com with the subject "Account Deletion Request".
Upon request, we will delete your account and remove your personal data from our active databases within a reasonable timeframe.
8. Children's Privacy
NurseKit is strictly intended for nursing students, healthcare professionals, and adults. Our services are not directed to individuals under the age of 13 (or the applicable age of consent in your region). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that a child has provided us with personal data, we will take steps to delete such information immediately.
